AMARYLLIS DOUBLE RECORD Size: 24/26 Planting depth: 5 cm Planting time: X-XI Flowering time: XI-XII Plant height: 60 cm The diameter of the ring is about 20 cm
• Before planting the bulb, keep the bottom of the bulb and the roots in lukewarm water for several hours. Planting should be done in the period from October. until April • The pot should be about 2.5 cm larger in diameter than the bulb. Amaryllis like smaller pots. • The bottom of the pot should have a hole/holes for drainage. • The amaryllis bulb should be planted in fertile compost. • Do not damage the roots when planting. • Partially fill the pot with soil and place the bulb so that the top third of the bulb is sticking out when you add the soil. • After planting amaryllis, water well and then do not water regularly until green shoots appear. If the soil dries out, water no more than once a week, as overwatering damages the roots and causes them to rot. This is one of the most important reasons why it is not possible to grow amaryllis. • Place the pot in indirect light, make sure the soil is moist, but not soggy. • Keep the plant at room temperature. • Turn the pot every few days so that the flower stem receives equal loads from all sides and grows straight. • The flowers will be green when they first open, then they will take on their true color. • Amaryllis should be transplanted every 3-4 years after the "rest" regime before flowering. |
