Lucius is a herbaceous plant that grows well in moist, shady areas. This species forms tufts of hairy, gray-green leaves in late spring with snow-white flowers that later turn into brown seed heads. The flowers are good for picking, fresh or dried, when the seed heads form. A great plant for flower borders and also great for mass planting in the shade. Easily divided in fall or spring. In regions with mild winters, the leaves may remain evergreen.
