Digitalis White, is a plant that blooms well even in the first year. It forms a low rosette of green leaves with tall flower stalks of white bells, each with purple dots inside. Cutting the flower stalks that have dried up in the first year to the base of the plant promotes overwintering in the second year of flowering as well. They grow best in rich, moist soil. Allow the plants to form seeds in the second year and they can self-seed. New seedlings that appear can be easily moved to a permanent place while they are still small. The plant may need supports.
