Very attractive annual plant with its glowingly red flowers of up to 2 cm in diameter. Excellent in mixed plantings, especially in displays with yellow summer flowers. The individual flower is only short-flowering but numerous flowers grow again to form an abundance of flowers over several months. Grows well in normal garden soil. Rich soil reduces blooming. Linum dislikes root disturbance, so it is not suitable for transplanting - it's better to simply sow more seeds.
